This is the corridor outside my hotel in Blackpool a few weeks ago. The hotel was lovely but I couldn't help but think of the hotel room in the Shining when I saw this even though they two decors are quite different. I think i'm just not a fan of stripes like this. I think whenever you see a hotel corridor that's a bit over the top the movie reference jumps out.
For me at least :)
3 good things:
1 - Nice train journey up to Blackpool
2 - Getting a cheap jacket which will do for the winter
3 - Photoshop tutorials on the laptop that evening
Wow which hotel was this.....I never thought Blackpool woukd sport such jazzy carpets! Not a good sight when you ho down to breakfast first thing in the morning!

We all had a feeling that a few locals were using it as a place to star their weekend celebrations before heading into Blackpool centre, and not just hotel residents or function people.
been browsing through your album...this one jumped out at me...sure I have one exactly the same in my album somewhere - amazing how all hotels begin to look the same!!
@sparkle It's the Village Hotel in Blackpool. Maybe you stayed there or one of the other Village hotels?
I think the decor is similar in each as I have stayed about 3 or 4 now.
