The title is not meant to suggest anything other than the fact that this was a quick shot of the Dubai skyline taken last night with very little time to spare.
Some former colleagues who now work for another company are working here in Dubai covering the races and are staying (and working) at the Meydan Hotel ands racecourse complex. The place is obscene. It's mahooosive, and a very strange place given it's 2 Billion dollar build cost, and the fact that it is unfinished, and a lot of the building is empty but the hotel part os grand, expensive and very very flashy.
My friends have been staying there on a regular basis since October and ave spent many hours exploring the building, so last night they took us to the roof for a fantastic view over Dubai. I had my camera and grabbed a few frames. Unfortunately due to the haze and lots of light pollution around downtown Dubai I wasn't really able to grab a proper exposure, hence why this seems quite dark. Also you might notice that a lot of the building seems dark, and there aren't many lights on, and if the rooms haven't been filled. That's because they haven't. Most of the tall skyscrapers in Dubai don't appear to be full, or anywhere near it so they light they actually give is very different to the more established Manhattan or London skylines.
Having said that I still love looking at it. :)

1 - Getting all the kit ready for the first day's transmission the following day
2 - A good run in the gym on the running machine
3 - A nice evening seeing old colleagues and exploring the Meydan
