Day 096, Year 4 - (Milky) Storm In A Tea (Coffee) Cup
Best viewed large, on black if you have time :)
A filler for Tuesday, and a shot I have been thinking of for a while, and one I would like to do better again at some point.
I love coffee. It is a big part of my day, and I have many different machines and tools to make my brew. And recently I have started to really enjoy long, black coffee as well as rich espresso, and finally after all these years with no sugar anymore. I drink it black and with milk but mix it up regularly.
There is always a very lovely moment with strong black coffee when you pour the milk in (or cream if you're really fancy) and it mixes with the coffee and blends before your eyes. I love how the colours mix, in a completely random way, different every time. I grabbed my camera, stuck the 35mm f1.4 prime on the front and shot a couple of frames as the milk went in.
I was holding the camera in my right hand and the milk in my left so I would like to give this another go with a better set-up so I can concentrate on getting a nice blend of the milk and coffee. An DSLR would be great too for a better frame burst to try and capture the whole thing and get more coverage as this moment happens so quickly but hey-ho.
All this for a cup of coffee and a photograph :)
3 good things:
1 - Getting my haircut in the morning
2 - Catching up on RAW edits from the previous few days
3 - Seeing Dan and Jude in the evening
