Day 216, Year 4 - The Loveliest Little Love Of My Life
Last week I had my daughter Alexis stay with me and my parents, for a few days and nights in Norfolk.
Given the distant between us I generally see her once a month, either for a day or two at mine, or even just an afternoon after school, where we might go swimming, a play in the park and go for dinner.
It seems each time she comes to see me and my family we have an even better time than we did previously.
At 7 and a half years old she seems happy, and (I think/hope) content, with a devilish sense of humour and only sees the good in things. Of course, she is a she so comes with the natural highly strung, in-built emotions that all little girls do ;) but they are few and far between, especially when she is with me. She mostly just wants to do things that inspire good in herself and others, which I am very thankful for.
I am lucky to be her daddy.
3 good things:
1 - Some very lovely little moments between Alexis and I - cuddles, giggles, and fun
2 - A lovely time at Fritton Lake country park with Alexis my folks, my sister and nephews,
3 - Getting my Best Man speech nearly finished
@julie Thank you Julie. Was trying a 'proper' portrait pose which I am no good at. But she happily did what I asked. Her smile makes it over the pose anyway....! :)
A beautiful daughter you have too Steve! Grown up quite a bit since you first posted photos of her but growing prettier each time we see her! You are a great dad & do good you can say how you feel without any stupid embarrassment as many men would be. She is a lucky girl to have a great dad like you!
