Day 031, Year 5 - Sundown Over Dubai Marina

This is a pretty cliched spot in Dubai to take a shot of the Marina towers, from the south west side of the Palm Jumeirah. I have been meaning to go to this spot for the last couple of visits and I was glad to finally be able to get there. I am not quite as happy as I could be due to the lack of 'blue hour' in Dubai that day. The golden and blue 'hours' are nowhere near that long and sometimes the colours don't quite
appear as you might like. It was a little flat and lacking but...I am still glad to have gone there.
I was also happy to meet with a couple of local photographers there, one of whom is a British ex-pat who was taking some daytime long-exposures and another, an Indian guy who I met through Instagram who met up with me and took me to dinner with his wife, and we talked about photography, Dubai, Trump, cameras and travel.

An alternative panorama after sunset can be seen here:

3 good things:

1 - Lovely yoga session in the morning with work friends
2 - Great 10 mile run to and from the golf course from the hotel in the early afternoon in the sunshine
3 - Fun to finally shoot the Marinas towers, and to meet some local photographers
This is beautiful. Fav!
