This is my former staff (and now freelance) colleague Andy on Southport pier, in the afternoon after the first day of the Open golf championship last week. After a very early 0430 start we decided to get some time in the afternoon sun in Southport and walk along the pier just to take in the view, some fresh sea air and to reflect on what had been very fun but pretty busy (and long) first day at the Open.
3 good things:
1 - After a horrendous start to the weather wise, the awesome sun came out
2 - Great fun covering the first day's play at the Open
3 - A nice walk along the pier after work with my colleague Andy
