While I am confined to the house, I always have my camera sat on it's tripod by the open door.
Today I spotted the young greenfinch about to have a bath in my pond which is 3 metres from my doorway but before I could get the planned shot, along came the parent bird with food for it so the wash was abandoned for the food.
Some times, it's all about the luck
