Today I had a wander around Priory Park as there didn't look to be too many people there. I didn't fancy taking my big camera so I took my Nikon D7500 with a Nikon 75-300 lens for a change. I bought it a little while ago and have not really given it the time to get to know it preferring the D7200 body.
I wasn't to displeased with it although I do find it more difficult to get a sharp focus but that could be lack of practice with it.
This little Squirrel, instead of running away, decided to come an have a look at my new gear.
I love that he's coming toward you and that you have him in such clear focus. I have tried and tried to get such a pose and each time I get the eye in focus the nose is a blur, or the nose in focus then the rest too soft. They move so fast! Fav, with admiration for this success.
@stevejacob -- I'll check what my numbers were. But I typically shoot at 4 or 5.6 because that's the most open my lens will allow. But of course I should have thought of that -- I'll see what I can do. Thx for tip!
Try lifting your f stop a couple of numbers. I'm shooting at f8. It will give you a deeper focal plane.
