It never ceases to amaze me the detail of a birds wing. Each individual feather is an integral part of the birds ability to control it direction and angle of flight.
Man has tried for years to recreate the wings of a bird but have got nowhere near. We basicly just use gliders with a power unit.
It makes me think about the complex level of brain to body signalling needed to get all the right feathers in the right place and exercise the control.
