Working from Home

I’m not gonna lie, I’ve been struggling recently. My mental health has taken a bashing and I’ve been having an existential crisis of sorts. I know the lockdown is making it worse, because my brain doesn’t have enough else to focus on so I keep getting lost inside my own head. It’s not fun.

I decided to tackle these feelings head on and have spent most of the day up in our loft office, ploughing through tasks that I’ve been meaning to do for ages, and I feel better for it. I’ve managed to:

✅ Finalise my coaching logo and share it with the world
✅ Get insurance for my coaching business
✅ Sign up to a teaching agency and already get a job offer (which I politely turned down)
✅ Get my details/finances sorted with an umbrella company

And this evening I’m going to start reading “Man’s Search for Meaning” which I am really excited about.
I'm sorry you are struggling. There are lot's of difficulties around us, at the moment. And as you mention, the lockdown can make it worse, if there are things happening in ones head. Good you started the 365 porject, as it is like daily reminder to focus on other things. Nice ones too. I stopped here, because I really, really like your home office set-up and the colour tones. I work from home too, about a year by now. I do like it, but my office is not as nice and stylish as yours. Stay healthy, keep strong and focus on what you manage to do, and not on the things that slip away! :-) And go out for a walk, as often as you can (or it is alowed!) Hugs. M.

I think you've achieved loads today, and when you aren't feeling on top of your game you have to recognise the achievement you have made by getting the smallest amount of anything done. So well done for motivating yourself, be proud and hold onto that pride!
The other thing that I wanted to say, is that I find your strength and ability to reflect on your own emotions truly admirable. Not many people are able to do that in such a focused and proactive way. Always try to maintain that, always check yourself, it will really help you. It's an ability that everyone wishes they had, but very few actually have xx

@mona65 @gemmap thank you both so much for your lovely messages - they are really appreciated. This lockdown just feels so much harder than the first two. I'm going to keep plugging away until I feel a bit brighter ... I know it'll come soon :) xx

So sorry to hear you are struggling. It is such a tough time right now, isn't it? But good for you for moving forward and forming a plan. Hopefully things will begin to get better soon with the Pandemic which seems to make everything worse. A lovely home office you have here. Take care.

@sunnygirl thank you Mallory. I thought about tidying up before I took the picture but then decided I wanted it to be an accurate reflection of life at the moment! It's definitely a tough time right now. I've never struggled for this long before. However, at least we know that the end is in sight xx
