In a Jiffy

In April,-- 1930, "JIFFY" Mixes were introduced by the Chelsea Milling Co. Mabel White Holmes got the idea for "Jiffy" baking mixes when she wanted to save people time and money in the kitchen by including almost all the ingredients necessary in one complete mix. The plant in Chelsea is the only factory that makes "JIFFY" products.

The Purple Rose Theater Company was founded in 1991 by acclaimed Hollywood actor and Chelsea native Jeff Daniels. Daniels has starred in a number of New York productions on and off Broadway.
