Halloween is not a feast that's enthusiastically celebrated in Holland. But, during the last decade the commercial value for shopkeepers is getting more and more important and so you see some (mainly) kids dressed up for Halloween.
In Holland we celebrate (but also not in every part of the country) the 11th of November instead: Saint Maarten. Kids (till the age of around 12) go door to door with selfmade lanterns and sing special Saint Maarten songs. People give them sweets in return.
