Very interesting. Thanks for showing this to us. (Don't we have to turn in our old license plates when receiving a new one???) This reminds me of the Sign Post in Watson Lake, Yukon. Hundreds of people (including us) have made signs and tacked them up on this massive tourist attraction.. They are signs instead of license plates, but the same idea.
Wonderful find Ron well spotted, he would struggle in the UK unlike the US that issues a new plate every year, the number plate issued to a new car /motorbike remains with it for the life of the vehicle, unless you have a your own personnel registered plate, then that plate is register to your current vehicle, I have one for my motorbike:)
you know that in the third world, all those plates would have made for a rather large housing for a displaced family. the disadvantage would be all that clanging when the occupants are up and about inside. i guess your guy is now thinking how he's going to add up to the tower without getting a really tall crane. awesome capture though. aces!
Hey, what's up? Hopefully you are so busy enjoying life and the road beneath that bike's tires you've no time for indoor computer activities and the like. May you and your camera being having the summer of a lifetime.
@lyndemc Hi Denise. You were exactly right - the bike's tires were rolling across great lengths of the country. As the summer comes to a close I will be trying to catch up with 365 and getting bunches of my photos posted. Missed all of the inspiring and great photos over the past few weeks!

And yes, the moth was humming. It was some song about Illinois being the land of milk and honey. Obviously he was drunk on nectar.
