The San Juan Capistrano train station has a unique character to it. Almost Disney-esque, except it's real.
There has been a lot of unrest recently because the trains go through at night and per regulations must blow the whistle in a certain pattern. However, local quiet zone regulations conflict with the federal requirements. At this time I believe the local rules have priority.
What I learned in taking this photo: Government regulations require trains to blow their horns in a certain pattern at crossings.
Very much like something from a wild west film set to me Ron, simply gorgeous lead in lines, great depth of field with detail all the way through to the vanishing point in superb colour, Fav:)
@pcoulson Really appreciate your kind detailed comments Peter. It really does have an old west feel to it - the whole town has been diligent in retaining the original feel and appearance - original being just a couple of hundred years in this case. That qualifies as ancient in these parts!
