This is the alternate view of my Strangers photo posted here: http://365project.org/stray_shooter/365/2017-03-05 . This is actually the shot that spawned that photo. Valentine was carrying the bear to the storefront and was holding him as if he were baby, and my photographer's eye told me it would make a great capture. If you do not fav this shot I will be forced to unfollow you.
Haha!! This is very definiteness cute,. I know that feeling of carrying a baby over my shoulder like this.... And that thought right now congers up "spit up".. Can't follow you because of that thought..... So go ahead --- unfriend me!
I'm fav'ing it, not because of the, uh, threat.... ha ha ... but because the bear's expression is irresistible! Actually both pictures of Valentine and the bear are excellent.
...and I think *this* shot is the best! I certainly like both, but here, those eyes say it all! Easily this bear was worth another plane flight and midnight oil! (I want to give you no reason to unfriend me!)
Hi Ron. You were right. This is an awesome capture.
As your get pushed partner for this week I have had a look and discovered you already have some lovely portraits, both animal and human, as well as reflections and scenes, so how about shooting something to make my mouth water ... food
@seacreature Food it is! Thanks, I'll have some fun with this as I'll be traveling this week. Your challenge may have a big influence on where I choose to eat!
Great capture with lovely detail and composition, particularly like the catch light in "Seffan" the Steiff bears eyes and the way he appears to be saying I think I will like living with Ron, may be I'll even get a ride on his Harley if I'm good, fav of course if only for the pose:)
oh Ron, this is truly delightful, i remember so well carrying carrying my babies this way, grandchildren too.. that a man is carrying this gorgeous teddy is a big bonus.. it shows Valentine's softer side... love the Teddy's arm across Valentine's chest and the way it is peeping over his shoulder.. fabulous use of DoF.. colours are great too..
forget the threat...
@tigerdreamer Thanks Karen. Seems like most people preferred the front view, judging by the comments, but this is the one the most favs. Weird, but not the first time I've had that happen. Thanks for stopping by!
@pcoulson Thanks Peter, I honestly didn't take note of the catchlight until later. Makes me grateful that Steiff makes use of such quality materials! And don't expect photos anytime soon of the bear on my Harley. Those are two worlds that do NOT go together! Thanks, my friend.
