Jackpot for Bees

Another shot from yesterday, using the macro lens in the back yard jungle. I did not see this massive pile of pollen on the stamen until I enlarged it and reviewed it on the computer. I should have directed yesterday's bee over this way......then again, it might have been sensory overload for the poor guy.
awesome macro. i like your little watermark with the little camera art. aces!

Lovely macro, I hope the bee finds this flower it could have a feast on the pollen.

If all that pollen equates to Honey, I'll send the bees your way! Let the feasting begin!

Beautiful close up detail, colour and framing Ron, if all else fails get the macro lens out, I find you can always find something interesting in a macro shot:)

Ok, I can see why you were momentarily confused about where your picture went to after seeing mine... Love the rich colors your picture has.

A beauty! Yes...some lilies have those packed orange stamens! Many florists remove the pollen and/or stamens as they stain everything!!! :)

@summerfield Thanks Vikki. Glad you like the watermark. I normally try to make it a little less intrusive, but I guess I had the opacity up just a bit on this one.

@onewing Thanks Babs. I tried to wave the bee over, but as usual, my suggestions were blatantly ignored.

@Weezilou Thanks Louise. Yeah, somewhere in South County there's bee hive with massive amounts of honey. Gotta get out and find that!

@pcoulson Thanks for that, Peter. I agree, I've always found macro shots to be fascinating. More examples of the camera seeing what the human eye does not see.

@pdulis Thanks very much, Peter.

@lyndemc Thanks, Denise. I get confused over things even less complex than this. 'Preciate the comment.

@gardenfolk Yeah, I can see how all that pollen would distract from the beauty of an arrangement. Think of all the potential honey that's wasted!
