I started my photo-a-day project on September 6th, 2004 on livejournal, transferred it here around 2011. All photos were taken on the day they're posted...
@iridecentburden - For lighting I used 3 Nikon SBs all set to 1/64 power or lower. (The lower the power, the faster the flash duration, which helps to stop the action.) I used a 3 second shutter speed in a dark room, and set the flashes up to a sound trigger. Once the trigger heard the popping balloon, the flashes fired.
I popped the balloon with a pin.
