Since the water balloon setup was still up, I shot another one. I set the delay just to 1ms here. It seems the biggest part of delay is the time it takes the sound to hit the microphone, but I don't want to get it any closer to the balloon since I don't want it to get wet.
I started my photo-a-day project on September 6th, 2004 on livejournal, transferred it here around 2011. All photos were taken on the day they're posted...
My togging bud and I set up balloon shots in my garage and he got a very similar break in the balloon to this.
Yours is absolutely fab and a Fav........I know how much effort goes into these!
@pixiemac - Thanks. Since I have a sound trigger, the amount of effort goes down quite a bit since I don't have to worry about timing. Most of my time is just spent setting up the shot and trying to get the lighting right.
