this morning, little wahoo wanted to call darren so he could come visit and they can play in the snow. wahoo had watched the snow fall since early in the morning and the green grass quikly got covered by the white stuff. she was so excited that she asked grandmere summerfield to go and fetch darren. grandmere had to explain to little wahoo that it is a school day and darren would be in school.
little wahoo was quite sad, but still, she asked grandmere if she could play in the snow, even by herself. grandmere did not have to leave for work yet so she said little wahoo can go. so for the first time, little wahoo had seen and played in the fresh snow at the back of the building where they live.
she brought with her darren's skateboard thinking she could use it to snowboard. grandmere summerfield told her that a skateboard is not the same as snowboard, but little wahoo told grandmere she just wanted to try skateboarding in the snow. so, grandmere let her.
little wahoo liked playing in the snow. she rolled, she danced, she ran, she darted, she frolicked in the snow like there is no tomorrow. why, she even dove and for a while grandmere thought she might have hurtself. she even wanted to make snow angels but grandmere said cows don't make snow angels.
little wahoo had fun in the snow, nonetheless, and grandmere took a lot of photos. she was very happy and told grandmere that she will play in the snow again tomorrow. grandmere said, 'we'll see.'
I'm loving these stories -- and can so picture each adventure being a children's book -- so you have a series of stories about wahoo!! My triplets would love them (and love me reading the books to them!) You are just too fun!
Well . . I'm gettin caught up in this! I did the Wahoo thing today and went out in the snow too. Got some of that wet and heavy stuff here and it was beautiful. For awhile. Love the little guy's poses and gleeful face. What fun! Will this become a new short story?!! :)
@cscecil - you are always so kind, CS. but yes, i'm thinking about a series of wahoo stories would be nice. but first, i've got to find out if this little wahoo i'm using is subject to copyright. it's too tiny for me to see any fine prints. the only fine prints there are on this are her teats! thank you so much, CS.
@karenann - hey, friend, i saw your photos today and they're incredible. are you sure you have to take those photography courses? :-)
you shoulda seen me this morning in front of my building where there were fresh snow. people were looking at me funny, crouched so low on the ground, taking pics of toys on the snow. things we do for our projects! i don't know if anything will come out of this wahoo seriesl, but you never know. i'd love for something to materialize from that. thank you, karenann.
LOL Would love to have seen you taking those photos, summerfield! I know . . I've been there. I will soon be known as that "whacko" here in town. Then I'll have to move to a different city again! LOL But, hey, as long as we're enjoying ourselves, that's what matters. This is our play-time, right! Enjoy yourself, friend. :)
@olivetreeann - i'm actually enjoying this little gal, ann - gets the creative juice going even if it's just a trickle right now. i just might extend it beyond the seven days or it could have a recurring appearance in the album. my partner thinks i'm crazy. but i don't care. i just might bring this to the lakeside today. hahaha. i hope the city pound don't nab me. thank you, ann.

@karenann - you can always move here, we'll be a pair of wacko's. hahaha!
