little wahoo likes to keep busy. she hates just sitting down or idling her time away. sometimes she reads grandmere summerfield's books. grandmere also has a lot of cross stitch projects which little wahoo would like to learn how to do so she can help grandmere to finish them. she also has learned how to do crossword puzzles and sudoku puzzles from watching grandmere. grandmere also loves to write and take photos.
but little wahoo wants to have a hobby all her own. when she tells grandmere about it, grandmere says little wahoo should have painting as her hobby because she is quite good with drawing and with colours. grandmere's younger sister, tante wowie, is an artist and she has some painting stuff in her cupboard. so grandmere asked tante wowie to give little wahoo some materials so she can do some painting.
after grandmere has left for work, little wahoo tidies up the apartment and set up her painting materials in a corner of the living room. she tries to paint grandmere's face from memory but it doesn't come out looking like grandmere. then she paints tante wowie's face, but it, too, does not look like tante wowie. so little wahoo decides that for now, she will just paint something abstract.
