when you live in the city and near the downtown core, the random sunset you can get most of the time includes wires and light standards. i was actually at the park about three quarters of a mile from my apartment when i noticed the purple sky and the sun as it set. the civic building was blocking most of the way so i had to walk a tad farther and zoom in to get this shot. at least the tree branches and the evergreen's shadows made the shot more pleasing.
It's very pretty! It's something I might dabble with in processing to see if I could clone out some of the wires and lights satisfactorily enough to make it look better. If you're a purist, you'd not want to do that. But for me, if it's minimal, it's worth it. You captured some lovely colors here.
It is very pretty. I know what you mean about the wires and poles. Quite often I have to zoom the heck to the max to get a shot between buildings and wires.
Gorgeous colors and beautiful silhouettes. I like the lines in there . . but then I'm on the "purist" side. lol Plus, I don't know how to "edit out!" things.
@pamfromcalgary - thank you, pam. i used to be really nitpicky about it but somebody in here had said the wires are a reality of city life; plus as i told ann there was food beside me so forget that! tee-hee!
@karenann - thank you, karenann. when you get to know how to edit, you will have a constant argument with your purist self. :-)
@olivetreeann - i thought of doing that, but i got lazy, no, not lazy, i got food beside me so i left it alone. haha! thank you, ann.
