How beautiful this comp is ... the background reminds me of a rain forest! Is this in a botanical garden someplace?! Just love this bamboo and the textures and colors. Take care, summerfield.
@roth - migraines always slow me down. 'tis a good thing it's the weekend and i'm at home so i can rest right away, but when it catches me at work or elsewhere, boy, i'd be useless for days. thank you, sue. you're so kind.
@karenann - yes, there is a horticultural garden right in the middle of the busy downtown and it's free to visit. i think i know where i'll spend my lunch hour for the next week or so. the orchids unfortunately have been 'remanded in custody' as some greedy visitors would steal or take the flowers. how pathetic is that? so they were placed in a room-size glass cage. thank you, karenann.
@pandorasecho - almost everybody in the 70's must've memorized desiderata. almost any oldies like me would remember it. then it caught on with the 80's and 90's teensters. thank you, dixie.
@sarasdadandmom - i grew up beside a large patch of bamboo patch that separated our property from the next one. they make creepy creeking noises especially on a moonless night. they also were home to some deadly snakes. the only thing about bamboo that i liked was the baby shoots, sauteed in oil and onion and it's yummy! thank you, terry.
@catsmeowb - thank you, camille. yes, it is important you catch and arrest it at the outset. in my case, if i don't i could useless for days. i need to be in a really dark and cold room to recover. which is kind of not good because i don't have drapes in my bedroom. i hate drapes and blinds.
