the north east side of our office tower has a lot of these nasty looking giant spiders. i measured this one and the body is almost two inches from its eyes to its butt. you wonder how they get there, 38 storeys high and the wind is stronger the higher you go. this guy just ate a fly while i was trying to get a shot of both of them. i didn't know flies could fly that high either! anyway, this is for MB @espyetta.
cropped. the background is the islands and ontario lake photos of which i had previously posted.

thank you for your views and comments; they are much appreciated.
@bkbinthecity - this creeps me out, too, even though it's on the other side (outside) of the glass. there were so many of them it gave me the creeps! thank you, brian.
@russianblue - hahahaha! royal bank plaza. it makes me wonder sometimes when i'm walking outside and it's windy, if these bugs get blown down and land on people's head! well, i think better the spide which i can swat dead rather than flying glass panes which would knock me dead! thank you, kass.
Oh wow! Death on the 38th Floor. (for the fly) sounds like a movie. Here is my theory of how they may get up there...at least the spider. The other day I was shooting a pic of bugs in the grass and this tiny spider was running all over my camera bag and then went in. I think bugs end up up there in your building by hitching a ride on people. ugh!
@sbb1980 - eww, indeed, kiddo. thank you for coming by.
@cscecil - fabulous or not, this shot is giving me the creeps and i'm wondering what came over me and posted this on my album! thank you, CS
@slang - 38 storeys, my friend. i have to take an elevator to get there from the 35th floor. this one and its family and friends were all over the glass windows. thankfully, they're outside! thank you, sean.
@beba8162 - oooops! sorry about that, roberta. thankfully it is just a photo. for me, i had to brave looking at it as i took the shot. fortunately the sun was really bright outside so this is almost just a silhouette.
@espyetta - hope you get to see this and like it, too!
@espyetta - aha, there you are. no, this spider and its family and friends are OUTSIDE the windows, in the elements. they rock when there's a strong wind, and they get splatted on to the glass walls by the rain. thank you, MB.
@summerfield Ah ha! So my theory is BLOWN! LOL! I am glad for you that he is on outside. And I guess then they just imitate old "Itsy Bitsy" and climb up the water spout.
and I LOVE the pic, btw! Love the silhouette on blue and looking out beyond the spider to "the view" that is out of focus...sort of gives me vertigo.....I can be a touch afraid of heights at times. haha!
