you've gone heavenward
too lofty for me to reach
from down here, i yearn.

went around looking for my number six this morning. the sun was bright and initially there was a soft haze in the sky but on my way home, the sky was so clear and blue. this canna flower, in one of the city's planters along the danforth, has grown so tall it seems to wave to the sky, the gentle breeze making it so. i took out the camera from my back pack and took a shot. sooc but for the name tag. i like it like that, simple and sweet.
thank you for your views and comments; i appreciate them a lot.
Yes ... very simple and very dramatic!! Love that color and the heavenly reach. Reminds us to stop and take a look. Something that few of us do anymore. I'm glad that you stopped.
@catsmeowb - yes, i like it. i just have to know how to use it and be patient with it. so i still bring with me my canon p&s just so i know i have the shot i want then i take about 50 of one thing with this. one thing i've not done is use it in autofocus. my niece, who's a very good photographer, tells me there's no point in switching to a dSLR if i'm using its autofocus function. this is my weekend plaything. too bulgy to bring it with me all the time. thank you, camille.
that is what i was thinking if i go dslr. no auto. i have been going strictly manual lately - been having many issues with my camera. it used to shut down when cold, now it does when too hot out. i can understand why kodak filed chapter 11. i am trying to decide between canon t3i - found great deal - or the above. probably will end up with the canon. sometimes wants and needs are not the same thing.
@bkbinthecity - brian, thank you.
@sarasdadandmom - thank you, terry.
