i like coming here - seeing the boats being hauled to and from the water to the trailers in the parking lot, or the sailboats coming back to be moored at the end of the day, the ducks slowly swimming about, the noisy canadian geese diving for food, the odd fishermen, and the pesky obnoxious seagulls photobombing my shots.
today was another almost perfect summer day for us, hot enough to be in the sun, but with a decent wind to make one feel refreshed. the sun shone brightly against that backdrop of a beautiful cloudless sky and the gentle waters of lake ontario sparkling below.
yes, almost perfect, except i have someone who kept pestering me with "come here. stand here. take the shot from here. go lower, take it from this angle." like he thinks he's james cameron. whatever!

this is the "same september" challenge and the challenge for monday is same scene.
Hello summerfield, LMAO while i was reading this.. how ya doing, yes yes i have not posted for a long time. been cycling and doing some road racing this summer Also went away back home for 4 weeks Singapore.. BTW nice pis..a
This is gorgeous!! LOVE the pov and the lighting ... the colors are stunning. You were at the right place, right time. Why don't you get "Mr. Cameron" his own camera! :)
@eddyj - hi, eddy. was wondering where you've been. how's singapore weather-wise, hot still? well, glad you're back. you must've taken a lot of pics, too, hey? thank you, eddy.
@karenann - thank you, KA. mr. cameron doesn't want to do it himself. been encouraging him, he's contented to be my art director and camera bag holder. hahaha!
Your partner is alot like mine .... a "director and a teacher." Well, at least mine tries to teach me. I just look at him and hand him the camera. He never takes it, of course. He makes me smile ... they think that it's so "easy" sometimes. LOL
@karenann - hahaha, they must be twins. because director partner is also substantially taller, his pov of course is different from mine. conversation most of the time goes like this: "can you not see that?" "no." "how can you not see that, it's just to the right of the blah-blah!" "i don't see it." "ridiculous!" shakes head. "do you notice that my head is up to your chest? it means i am a lot shorter, dear!" hahaha!
I hear you!! Mine says stuff like ..."Get that bird!" Bird flies away as soon as I look. Then, "Get that dragonfly, he says." "Where" I ask. "There," he says. I look. "THERE!" he says again. Dragonfly flies away. Then he says, "You're too slow!" And once again, I offer him the camera. LOL
@karenann - hahaha! they have no clue, haven't they? but they're so sweet in their own ways, and we can only laugh about it. thank you, KA. and it's nice to have you back, my friend. i thought you've left me for good. i was really worried there.
Goodness just look at that sky, I think I could sit and watch this scene for a good long while, beautiful shot. Looking forward to seeing this every week
@socalgal - hey there, partner. how are you? thanks for stopping by. i'm behind commenting so i should be around your albums tonight. thank you, patty.
@steeler - your favourite scenery, i know. this was taken with you in mind. for some reasons, boats, motorcycles and old, run-down trucks remind me of you when i shoot those things. thank you, howard.
@alia_801 - thank you, alia. poor choice for a monday shot, since i will be in the office, obviously, so either an early (really early) morning shot would have to do or evening shot. it shouldn't be too dark still by the end of september, hopefully.
