to all my 365 friends, here's wishing everyone will have a prosperous 2013.
partner read about this display and he drove me there to photograph this. this is a house northwest of downtown toronto. the story was when the daughter of the couple who lives here had cancer as a little girl, she stayed at the sick kids hospital for quite a while. fortunately she made a recovery and since then they had made this display during the winter holidays. there is a box beside the large display where people can make whatever donation they can afford to give.
there is everything in this display, nativity, north pole, circus, everything is covered. i added the firework as if all those lights weren't enough.
i had to process as even after 5 and despite heavy grey clouds, the shot looked like it was mid-day. i'm sure you have noticed that the days are getting longer.
@valpak - they say that the electric bill isn't much because they're using LED lights. well, maybe. thank you, valerie. happy new year to you and yours.
@aurorajane - thank you, aj. happy new year to you and yours.
@bkbinthecity - we had to come earlier to take photos. when we were leaving there were a lot of cars and people visiting the place. i hope they get a lot of donation. thank you, brian. and a happy new year to you and melody and i hope to see you this year!
Wow, that looks a lot like the house near us last year in NH. I can't even imagine how long that took to decorate. But, it sure is cool to look at! LOL!
