"Turn me loose from your hands
Let me fly to distant lands
Over green fields, trees and mountains
Flowers and forest fountains
Home along the lanes of the skyway
For this dark and lonely room
Projects a shadow cast in gloom
And my eyes are mirrors
Of the world outside
Thinking of the ways
That the wind can turn the tide"

this was an accident and something i totally didn't plan. i was taking photos of the benches at the market - yes in the deep freezing cold, sans my gloves because i was using the bridge camera with its little dials and not the dSLR.
i was quite enjoying the stares and chuckles of the cigarette-smoking people on the sidewalk as i squatted, bent and knelt on the icy ground taking photos of the darn snowed-over benches, when i lost my balance and almost fell. it was at that instant that a flock of pigeons flew over from the roof of the market building; and because i have had bad experiences with birds flying over me, my first instinct was to cover my face and my head; and because my left hand was busy supporting my hefty body weight from totally falling on the slushy/snowy ground, instinct made me raise my right hand holding the camera with my finger still halfway pressing on the shutter. luckily, maybe the flying buggers have not eaten yet (impossible, if they've been casing the market) or just my lucky day, i didn't get pooped on and i got a shot of one of the would-be criminals.
and guess what, when i went inside the market building, there was a piano/guitar basking man playing elton john's 'skyline pigeon'. was fate trying to tell me something? yes, methinks. it's telling me i should go get my nuts and fruits and go back to the office pronto and wash off the darn germs from my hands.
thank you for your kind views and comments, my friends; know that i appreciate them greatly.

@losthorizon as one of the top 10 'finalist'. thank you, beau.
(I do find it funny when people complain about being pooed on by birds - it happens to me so often I consider it normal! The girls aren't exactly house trained...)
