distilled and bottled in ....

the world's most sought-after premium gin. at least that's what it says on the back label of the bottle.

let's detour for a day to europe as i'm trying to collect my thoughts on this around the world challenge. i do have a lot of really old photos from my visits in europe. but i saw this bottle in the cupboard and i thought i'd use it today so my photos stay current.

for someone who hates the taste of alcohol, i can tell you i have a lot of it in the household. i use them mostly for cooking, although i can't recall what recipe i've done before that called for gin. partner always tells me to get just the cheap or domestic brands if it's just for cooking but when i go to the liquor store, i read labels until i'm cross-eyed so i always end up getting the brand i recognize.

this shot is a set up for the 5+2 challenge this week.

thank you for your kind visits and comments; they are much appreciated.

cheers!
Nice shot! I guess it must come from London - that seems to be what the label suggests, and where beefeaters can be found :)
Nicely composed pic too.

Yep, UK! A G&T is a great tipple. Love the pattern on the glass and how the light has brought it out.
