resting

a good friend of mine, whose first book will be going into print soon, and i went this afternoon to find the perfect shot for her book's cover. we searched for the don valley trail path but we didn't get to it even after walking 3 hours but on a different trail. going home, we walked up the main road and we could see the trail she wanted to be on but we still have to figure out how to get there. all this to say, we didn't get a photo of her book cover and i would have to get there by meself one of these days to see if i could get that shot she wanted.

we found this guy halfway down our walk. actually there were three of them, each on a different dead stem but i want to give this one some loving as he is wounded.

we had an extended summer what with the temperatures climbing to 25 or so celcius i was sweating like a cow.

I wonder if they can regenerate shell? Have to ask a snail doctor!

He has very interesting markings. Hopefully his damaged shell doesn't adversely affect him!
