partner bought three rose plants last summer and planted it. over the course of the summer, the leafs fell and the three plants were devoid of its leaves. then they made a comeback a few weeks ago and they have actually started to flower. this is the first flower that bloomed. it's funny, too, that the flowers appeared on our anniversary weekend.
it's not much of a rose but partner wanted it in the house so we can enjoy it. since it's just a single rose (there are so many smaller buds on the plants now) so i let it float on water inside a small bowl.
thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that i do appreciate them a lot. it's our thanksgiving weekend also so we have a long weekend and i can continue to catch up on your albums.
@claireuk - really? well, happy anniversary right back at you, my good friend claire. actually, partner and i could not decide, some years back, what date our anniversary. we had agreed on so a few dates but we kep forgetting, so for years whenever we were asked when our anniversary was, we replied that we didn't have one. so about 10 years ago, we had some family members and close over for dinner and when asked what the occasion was websaid it was our anniversary. my niece pointed out promptly that the previous year our anniversar was in june and she was right, partner and I just forgot again. but because that time it was a week before the canadian thanksgiving we just told everybody that our anniversar henceforth will be on thanksgiving. so our anniversary is actually a moveable feast. thank you, my good friend claire. hugs.
