this is a late response to junko yokota's @jyokota push issued to me two weeks ago. but better late than never, as the saying goes. her challenge was:
"What I didn't see (except Bert and Ernie one) is one of toys. But unlike the Bert and Ernie one in which you have a funny narrative to accompany the image, I'd like you to place your toys in a way that the image tells the story."
there's been this idea in my head for a long time now that i wanted to portray in photograph but just never gotten to. the boys' toy box didn't yield any appropriate toys i could use so I used the stickers i found among my books.
i know i will revisit this shot in the next few weeks when i have found the toys i actually want to use. but a commitment has to be fulfilled so, junko, here you are, my response to your challenge.
"Hooray! Here's my favorite teddy bear . . . I've been looking everywhere for him!"
@summerfield - thanks for being committed to fulfilling the challenge and following through. I see that you found some toy objects and selected two that came together to imply a story, so I'd say your challenge is definitely fulfilled! Thanks for sharing!
Interesting, because they are children's stickers this is none threatening but having read your fabulous stories, I would say the theme is threatening, bullying, controlling. Nicely done
