entropy

the carnation from two mondays ago surprisingly lasted longer than expected - almost a month! - but eventually and as is the order of things, it has wilted and deteriorated. i got these keys from the antique market recently and they were heavily rusted but i had soaked them in oil and that sort of halted its decline.

for my get pushed challenge this week, my partner, kristen louque @ithinkithunk challenged me to photograph "entropy". this is a synonym for deteriorate, degenerate, decline, decompose, collapse or generally the breaking down of things.

thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are truly appreciated.
@ithinkithunk - kristen, here's my interpretation of the word entropy. i hope it fits the bill!

Hi! I am your get pushed challenger this week, I am back to it after many months off. I looked through your challenge list and your beautiful work and I think I have something for you. If you have done it already let me know, I can think of something else.

Here it is: Take a landscape photo with a dramatic horizon line and then break the rules for horizons. make it crooked, put it in the middle, something. But do it purposefully.

@summerfield Great shot!!!! I love the set up, even though they are old and starting to decay they still look pretty too! :)

I so love keys, I have a very old bunch, as decoration, on the wall at my little house in Spain. They are like old jewelry to me, they have a story to tell

Nice capture- two different types of entropy but they work well together!
