partner and i had a breakfast at victoria hotel. afterwards we drove to the west end of toronto to check out the pair of swans that he read about in the papers. the swans built their massive nest right in front of a viewing deck at sam smith park. when we got there, the female was resting and it took a while for the male to show up, driving away a pair of obnoxious canada geese and mallards, before disappearing again at the far end of the lagoon.
here they are captured in my crystal ball - the pen (female swan) sitting on the nest and preening herself as she sat on her eggs; and the cob (male swan) lolling around before disappearing again somewhere.
a few swan facts:
a baby swan is called a cygnet
a group of eggs or cygnets is called a clutch
a group of swans in the wild is called an herd
while a group that is in captivity is called a fleet.
Love & faved. Hi I´m your get pushed partner this week. You have such huge amouth great pics and such a diversity, it´s really hard to challenge you but as I see you have no problem doing selfies so how about showing something that nobody, at least here in 365, knows about yourself? Does that work for you?
@susale - suse, @northy was doing housekeeping at the same time as she's pairing off people. we needed to reply to the thread if we still want to play or not. she had earlier paired me with Kathy Boyles. methinks because our names were right next to each other it looked like you and i were paired off. i don't mind getting pushed twice this week though, or pushing two in the same week. but just to make sure your name isn't taken off the list, you could notify the pretty northy not to take you off her list of pushers and pushes. :-)
@summerfield Okey, thanks for informing me, I missed that part. So maybe if you are already paired and I now most likely be paired again, we go with that?
