'poor white trash' - that's what someone wrote on the lower wall of this abandoned silo. it was way in the middle of an abandoned property beside a corn field. there were signs at the gate, big signs, in bold yellow with black letters: NO TRESPASSING! and director james cameron wanted to go in, take some closer shots, maybe he would even climb those rusty metal steps and see what's at the top. tempting, but i wouldn't do it. it would be a shame if we're caught and they find out i work in a law office. but it's just me, i take signs like those seriously. it's different if there was no fence in the property and there were no signs. even then, i won't step on private property knowingly.
i have a wide shot of this silo with the trees and the corn plants around it. but this shot shows how seriously rusted it is.
Lovely silo and yes, I'd enjoy photographing it. If all I'm doing is walking on the land to get a picture, I will sometimes go beyond the sign. But I won't go in the building or move anything around it. As long as I'm respectful that it belongs to someone else, I will go closer. But I try not to disturb anything or go places that would put me in danger. Great shot!
I would never pass a no trespass sign, huge wimp
