zero point five. ever since i discovered mechanical pencils, i've broken off with #2. i like my writing fine and crisp, and when #2's tips became dull, i'd need to sharpen it all the time. and darn if there's no decent pencil sharpener around! i especially remember that time on the flight to san francisco, my sharpener was confiscated by airport security. yeah, right, like i would terrorize the whole plane with the blade of a lowly pencil sharpener.

but! with my zero point five, i just need to click and there it is, fine pencil writing.

sorry, #2, it's not you, it's me. well, okay, it's you.

for the mad hatter's pencil theme this week.
love the dark background; looks like the implements are floating.

I understand for writing, but when I want to doodle I want a variety of soft, smudge-able leads

I too thought the items looked to be floating. Lovely and unusual.

Only you would have your own personal preference for a pencil. LOL

Nice lighting.

The lighting is brilliant, the narrative amazing, they confiscated a sharpner?

Really good idea and photo for the theme!

I'm much more partial to the #2, but that's because it is not fun to sketch with a mechanical pencil!

I love the black background, as others have stated, it appears the objects are floating. A fav for the narrative too.

Love your description. Recently, Mike bought me an old school pencil sharpener from a garage sale and it was one of the best gifts ever. Dull pencils are the bane of my existence. Ok, well they bug me a bunch. It's not you it's me, ok, it's you. that kills me!!!!

This brings me back to university days when I was struggling for my plates for my drafting classes. Great shot!

I have to hide my pencil. Jeff seems to walk off with them and forgets where they land. But when I write- it's either with pen (I'm a scribbler) or on the computer.

@amandal Hahaha. Or is it you?
