from the aesop fable, remember the fox who wanted the grapes but can't get to it? i know quite a few sour grapes, lucky for me they're not within my circle of friends. :-)
i was doing this in the garden. my niece happened to be passing by. 'wacha doin'?' she asked. i told her i was ballroom dancing. she snickered. 'what's the theme?' she asked. "fruit." 'what are you trying to portray?' i said i was trying to reach for the grapes. 'why don't you just stand up from your chair then?' tsk! these young people, they don't think.
for the five plus two's "fruit" theme this week.
i thought i found my carmen miranda hat, but no dice. when i opened the bag, it was something else in it. so where in the world is carmen santiago? that's probably my problem - i was mixing the carmens. in any case, i might post an old photo from last year's shoot. i know i used to shoot a thousand selfies before i could get the one i like. story of my life.
@grammyn - elegant??? you are so generous with your praises, my friend. thank you. but we should be thankful i am averse to strawberries. my first idea was that scene from 9-1/2 weeks movie. hahahahaha!
One of my college friends worked on the Where in the World is Carmen Santiago? program. I think I'll reach for some strawberries now. Like you I'm too short to get the grapes! (o:
