to my very few close friends, i am the jokester, the life of the party, the funny one in the group. it's because i can make fun of myself, sometimes in a slapstick kind of way, that people cannot believe i am also a terribly serious (and shy!) person. well, didn't we learn in science that it takes more muscles to frown than to smile? so i'm done with all my responsibilities and worries in life, it's time to kick m'heels and do a song and dance. i'm 62, i'm not going to worry anymore, not even if i would have enough money or not after i retire. chances are i'd be senile by then i wouldn't have a care.
in any case i am happy these days because i've been dumped! oh, i've been waiting for the day, but it finally came. my liberal ways had always got me in trouble and this time i was told this is serious. but look at me, i'm happy. i can do whatever i want to do, whenever i want to do it. i don't have to worry about the other person. now i only have to worry about me. and where is he? he's looking for someone who would do his bidding. eh, good luck, buddy! i'm the best that you've got and you dumped me. and that makes me happy! actually, there's just one reason i'm happy. but you'll have to wait a while to find out. :-P

for five plus two's "charisma" theme this week. my odd sense of humour is my charisma, well, i was told by a very good friend.
and for my get pushed challenge this week posed by tineke @tstb which was "to make a photo that shows happiness". i am happy, trust me!

Hello Charlie Chaplin....and, "Non, je ne regrette rien".....life is way too short for that!! Frankly, I had been wondering for a while about had happened to the "Partner" in your life, and I am not surprised that it is over! What is not over is your wonderful spirit, your amazing talent, the formidable life force that you are, and with your newfound freedom you will experience so much more in life without being constrained by insecure expectations!! Embrace it all....here is to the new chapter in your life, and I cannot wait to meet you!!
I hope your ears were not burning today, as I was having a chat with Louise earlier about this post of yours and hoping that you are truly happy and that this is not a joke. As many people have said "life is to short to be miserable". So go forth and be HAPPY! May you continue to look at life with a bright smile and great sense of humor my friend. :)
@novab - doubters! i am quite happy. and i would suppose you might have an idea why. you know as they say, when one door closes, another one or two open up and there's more opportunity there.
btw, remember at Peggy's cove a couple asked me to take their photo? i also took a couple shots with my camera and gave them my email address so they can email me if they wanted it. they did and was quite happy with the shots i took. they were asking if i can refer them to anyone who's been to newfoundland as they're planning and wanting to visit. i gave them the link to your album and told them you have just visited newfoundland in september and they can ask you through your album. i hope you don't mind. i was quite happy to do it because you have great photos and i know they'd enjoy looking at them.
