i've re-joined the get-pushed challenge; it has been at least 9 months since i posted my last get-pushed. why, you ask? because i'm a sucker for punishment.
so, my partner this week, nadiya's @olenadole push was to take a photo of something no larger than 10 cm small objects "- - different figures: people, animals, buildings, from Kinder Surprise toys". i like a challenge where i can eat what i photograph, like the chocolate egg shell of the kinder surprise. i actually bought a box. hang on, there are only 3 eggs in the box and the one i opened had this little guy inside. he's all of 3.5 cm. and his name is crocodylus johnsoni. yeah!
i had meant to open all three but then it would've meant that i will eat all three chocolates. i thought that would defeat the exercise program that i have been doing for the last 10 days.
@summerfield American children aren't smart enough to realize the giant plastic toy container isn't something to eat, apparently.
I've heard claims the whole thing was brought on by companies already selling chocolates in the US not wanting more competition but who knows. I'm more concerned with the fact that I can't get chocolates that come with cute toys, no matter the ridiculous reasons.
@summerfield Technically that would be illegal... but I think you could get around it if you opened them, tossed out the wrappers, put the chocolate in a sandwich bag, and put the toy capsules in the box separately. If you're up for that I'd love it! I've always wanted to try Kinder eggs.
@farmreporter - why, thank you, wendy. lots of things happened during the holidays and i couldn't give enough attention and justice to my challenges so i had to beg off for a while, then ten months later....
