week 35 of my 52 portraits of me challenge. the prompt is "fly". for the month of september, whilst i'm getting myself all huffed up with the 50mm and sooc challenge, i'll park my portraits of me project on this album. why? because that cruel cornelia jamieson who calls herself a friend of mine was complaining that i have chickened out on the project. cornelia, you little soandso, you're banned from looking at 365. tee-hee! i don't know why you're contented with just browsing 365. join us already!
"fly". it could mean anything, couldn't it? either i fly, which i'm too fat to do, plus my wings are in for repairs (actually, it's been confiscated by the angels association because i've been asked to reduce weight and until then i'm banned from flying) or this, make use of a fly.
do you know that flies are a dirty so-and-so? if a fly lands on your doughnut, throw the doughnut away. in high school biology, we were shown an actual fly through a microscope and when i saw what it had on its legs, ewwwww! you'll never know where that fly last landed on.
and do you know that in forensics, how long a dead body (i'm not grossing you out, am i? :-D) has been dead can be determined by the growth of flies or their babyselves called maggots feeding off the body?
so, throw away that doughnut now!
too bad this won't qualify for the six-word story. :-P
I agree with you about the flies! I cannot bear to squash one - cut it in half, yes! Now you have spoilt doughnuts for me - all good - too many calories. Love your roses and your whole selfie!
It would make a spectacular six word story if you haven't already used the picture once before! Still very well done to incorporate a fly so perfectly in your photo
