practising my drive-by shooting skills. these are condominium buildings along the gardiner expressway in downtown toronto. premium expensive units when they were first sold, touted a scenic view of lake ontario. these are situated north of the expressway. now, dozens of condominium buildings are being erected on the south side, not onlyeffectively threatening but definitely blocking the 'scenic' view from these premium units. at least the canoe is nice!
okay, so i'm wondering why viewed in post the buildings are leaning. but in the original the left buildings are straight and only the right-most building is tilted. why, oh, why?

oh, my lord! i have 171 followers! how'd that happen? i'm slowly making my way to your albums, bear with me. old folks like me are quite slow. that's my story.
There is name for that which I cannot remember but it happens quite often to tall things- such as buildings and trees. I don't remember how I was told to compensate for it either.
I know it is something to do with distortion and the lens but that is me really plummeting my past knowledge so could be a complete load of.....
Great cityscape shot mind; although I am not sure I would want to live so high -view or no view
love Sue's comment about the letter H ! i really like the lines of the buildings and who doesn't love a great reflection? the spot of red is the icing on the cake - excellent shot!
@bill_fe - don't rock my boat with the tilted building, but thank you. remember this is a drive by shot. at least i got one in focus. you can't get this shot unless you're in an elevated vantage point which other than the highway would be the buildings now from the other side. which is also to tell you that the view of the water is gone because of those buildings that have sprouted long after the brochure photos have been taken, otherwise that would've been photoshopped. :-P
@bill_fe - billy, you have any preference for a hotel in toronto? the under $100 i can find is either 8 km east of where i live or 40 km west of me. east is near the bluffers' park so you could probably go watch the sunrise before starting out west to niagara (if you are an early riser). west, i don't really know where it is, it's out west and far; far enough i can't take a taxi to meet you.
@summerfield east will work just fine my friend. I've been waking up between 4 and 5 the last few weeks, not sure i that will be the case when I travel. I usually don't fall asleep as easily. I guess I'll skip this photo op, since there are buildings in the background. I'll email soon; I'm off on an errand in a few minutes.

Isn't kind of neat to get drive by pictures that look like this
Not bad at all for a drive by shooting.
