holly on ice by summerfield

holly on ice

yucky weather we had all day. this morning we had freezing rain; i went about looking for icicles on branches but the snow had thawed and the high temperature just made everything yucky. i passed by a house with a large holly bush in its front gate and that's the only thing that got my attention, particularly this iced over branch so this is my only offering for today. as you can see, the ice had loosened its grip on the plant, slowly melting...now let's have some sunshine already.
So people taking these snowflake photos have dry snow? I wish we had ANY snow or ice. Haha! January is almost over...we are almost to the "two winters with no snow" mark. This is very pretty!

@espyetta - hey, MB. thank you so much for coming by. yes, it has to be "dry" snow. it's hard to capture snow, especially when you live in an apartment building, i am quite a ways from the door. and by the time i get from outside to my apartment the snowflake would've melted already. unless probably i take it outside, in which case my neighbours would really think i'm nuts! hahaha!
