camera settings challenge #23 - motion blur

finale number of "the buddy holly story" the musical. here the characters "j.p. the big bopper richardson", "buddy holly" and "ritchie valens" depict the final performance number at the surf ballroom in clear lake, iowa, a few hours before they boarded the plane that would crash minutes after its takeoff. it was an excellent musical and the cast was outstanding.

yes, i was a bad girl today, sneaking in a shot during the performance when it was expressly made clear that picture-taking was not allowed. well, everyone else where taking photos with their phones, how was that different from taking a photo with a camera? i only took a couple of shots though; there's a better shot than this and i will post it shortly as i'm posting this for the camera settings challenge.

sitting for a long time this afternoon watching this aggravated my back but i enjoyed the event immensely. surely i know i'll pay for that one.

thank you very much for your kind views and comments; i appreciate them a lot.
bet it was a fabulous show! Glad you go to see it! Good blur......!

Great blur and movement capture ....that's my girl! Breaking the "rules!" I've been to concerts where "no photos were allowed" and everyone with phones was busy snapping away. Did you hurt your back recently? If so, I hope that you weren't taking photos and fell (or something!) Take care, my friend. p.s. I remember the Buddy Holly plane crash. The music in that play must have been GREAT!

Love this shot; the guy in the white suit looks as though he is kissing the mic. Just fab, I have been to a similar musical at our local theatre it too was fabulous

Technically in a show that rule is because costume and set design are copyrighted. But I love this effect here, already becoming ghosts

Nice job- as long as you don't use a flash, you won't draw attention to yourself. I think you pulled it off and since you're not trying to sell this, you're fine on the copyright issue too.
