on my walk this morning, i passed by a house's garden and thought i saw a pretty large squirrel so i took a few steps back and it was this big bunny. it was so still i thought it was a plaster or plastic bunny. still, i slowly took out my camera and to my surprise it moved and hopped underneath cars parked in about four driveways. it had been eating at the newly planted greens around the neighbourhood. it kept hopping about and this is one of the two decent shots i got of it. i don't really like stepping into people's properties so i try to stay on the side or pavement and just use whatever is the zoom capability of the lens. at one time, this little guy was playing peek-a-boo with me. look at the expression on its face.
i'm quite pleased with this shot although it's very grainy. there was a stark blue garbage bin on the right of this photo, it was quite distracting so had to crop it in camera. which makes this shot still sooc. smart to have taken the nikon with me.
what a cute capture! i don't think i've ever seen bunnies in the city before... there was a racoon digging up our garden yesterday in broad daylight (7pm-ish)... and i've seen a fox... and last year a dear dashed in front of my car on scarlet road around eglinton... but never seen a rabbit!
Nice capture! Our rabbits are the ones that turn white for the winter and are now chnging back to their grey summer coats. I shot a rabbit today too but will just post in on FB.
Hi Summerfield, I am your get-pushed partner for the coming week, you have been around here for a long while and tried all sorts of shots so a bit difficult to think of something new for you, but I have settled on compositional thinking for you, using negative space and the rule of thirds. so your subject definitely wont be smack dab in the middle and the space around it will be empty, or at least an interesting shape. let me know if you need more elaboration. as an optional extra you could use the theme furniture if you like.
