mad minute word - hypnagogic by summerfield

mad minute word - hypnagogic

defined as "of, relating to, or occurring in the period of drowsiness immediately preceding sleep".

this photo is a happy accident, i must've turned the lens or the camera so soon after pressing the shutter. not my intended posting for this word but i rather like the shot.

this is how i feel when i lay down to sleep. not a good feeling but it's better to get this before sleep. if i wake up and the world's still reeling, that's when it's bad. it's vertigo - which apparently affects mostly post-menopausal women especially those of asian descent.

my jump for joy in june post is here: http://365project.org/summerfield/365-again/2013-06-09
Could be a neck problem too - that or an ear problem! I don't like that feeling which I have had in the past when drinking too much! Not anymore! This movement makes great circles and catches the poppies up in it!

This is like koi in a crystal clear pool. Beautiful and hypnotic.

The vertigo hits me every now and then. Before sleep its almost a little fun but like you said. When you need to function it is nasty

This is a really good interpretation of the word.

Would you like to host the next round? Post a word on Friday, for photographs to be posted on Sunday?

@Cheesebiscuit - dang, i should've checked my messages before doing anything on 365. i just woke up so i'm still feeling a bit hypnagogic ;-) thank you for asking, quite flattered, but you might have seen that i'm hosting today's word.

@summerfield lol! Okay, I will see who else I can rope in, instead :D

@maggiemae - lots of possibilities but a young doctor at a walk-in clinic zeroed in on my problem. in '07 i had a major dental work done on my molars like crowns. because i grind my teeth (ever since i was a child) the dentist advised and encouraged me by way of adjusting my bridge, to adjust my bite. that's when it all started. so seemingly unrelated things like that could trigger, mostly unawares, major health set-backs. thank you, maggiemae.

@pandorasecho - thank you, dixie. another "cure" is sleeping on my back which was difficult in the beginning because i mostly slept on my stomach.

@eniaral - thank you, laraine.

@bkbinthecity - thank you, brian.

@sarasdadandmom - thank you, terry.

@claireuk - thank you, claire.

@Cheesebiscuit - okay. thank you.

Hey, I'm you're get pushed partner for this week - too cool! I'll make it simple. Create an action diptych or triptych whereby there is movement in every photo, each shot needs to be from a different sport, however they are all similar or related. I'll let you take it from here! Looking forward to what you produce!
