windmill by summerfield

windmill

last week i found some of the photos i took when i was in europe in the early 1980's. this is another photo i took on our way to amsterdam. it was the only old style windmill that was near enough to be photographed. and guess what. i had to take this from a moving car as "then beloved" was driving at around 180 kmph (i think that was their speed limit, but i could be wrong). you can see the blur of the guard rail along the freeway and the passenger side view mirror on the lower left.

partner, naturally, is quite impressed that i've been doing drive-by shots with the old camera. of course i didn't realize that until i've found these old photographs. it's just a tad slanted so had to correct that in ribbet.

taken with my Minolta XG-1 using kodakchrome slide film.
fantastic photo!

Is it still around, do you think! This is really good as it is not easy doing this and particularly in those days!

Great shot! Looks like it was taken from an ocean liner, but then the windmill would be in the wrong place! ;-) Yes, it is good to be reminded that you always had the "eye"!
