partner and i went to the grocery store to get veggies because he wanted me to take some food still life photos for his daughter and her fiancée's restaurant. then off to the cheese shoppe to get different varieties of cheese.
and so, i never got anywhere near where i can see the airshow. at lunchtime he wanted to go have sushi. i said i wasn't in the mood for sushi (i didn't tell him i was just there by myself at the sushi place last night and that if i even think of putting sushi near my face i would probably be sick!)
we passed by a greek restaurant that he has never noticed before and was quite impressed with the double table cloth and setting. he read the menu and was quite impressed. so, greek food it was for lunch. they had a pre-fixe menu for $19. the selection was quite impressive as it had more seafood and vegetarian. for appetizers, i had the selection of dips and pita bread, he had the zucchini cake and salad. then we both ordered the kakavia, a mélange of tomato sauce based seafood on a bed of pasta for our entrée which was superb especially with the beautiful greek red the owner served us with. for dessert, he had the karidopita or the honey walnut cake and i had a taste for baklava (which to my surprise was not so sweet which was nice!).
never ate so much in my life (well, yeah, when i was young i ate like a pig but not lately) and never been so full i needed to take a long walk three times.
