sorting the numerous shots i've taken during the last couple of weeks, I find all these changing leaves and a song that my mother used to sing would come out of my own mouth. then it occurs to me that my mother had never seen autumn leaves, and most likely not even in pictures. and then here i am having taken all these gazillion photographs of red and gold leaves and i hardly even realize they're there.
in other news, i have submitted three entries for the office's photo competition. a similar photo of my january 6 post, another similar photo of my october 19 post and one of white and red poinsettias. all safe bets for an "all inclusive" holiday greeting card. and i almost didn't do it because i thought the deadline was tomorrow when it was actually yesterday. wish me luck!
