mary @m9f9l is my partner this week for the get pushed challenge. her challenge is "a shot depicting new beginnings/rebirth (in honor of the new year!)"
the allan gardens have gorgeous peace lilies all over the gardens. they are beautiful to look at especially when they're in a large cluster. there are many new shoots/buds and flowers emerging but this one seems to be an anomaly as it is really a lot taller than the other shoots/buds, as if to say "look at me, i'm pretty!" pretty, indeed, she is, especially when she opens up to her full potential.
@m9f9l - here's my reply to your challenge. bit of a cop-out but with a partial move, prepping for a five-week holiday and fighting the flu, my creativity hat's crumpled and not working so well. well, actually not working at all!
It has a lovely shape. Sorry you're not feeling well. I had a cold also which settled into my chest (as in tried to make a permanent home there!) Been throwing everything at it, and it feels like it's finally getting the hint.
@summerfield You have the flu too? Poor thing. How are you up and around? I have flu or a cold, and i have just had to lay around. Where are you going for five weeks? I hope it is warm there.
@espyetta - i had been to the doctor's this afternoon. apparently it's not flu but just a common cold that's now affecting my sinus. yup, if it was flu, i'd be in bed for a week! going to the philippines to take photos! leaving next monday for san francisco to meet my bff then we fly together to manila on the wednesday. i'll be landing back here on feb. 15. earlier if money runs out, will stay forever if i win the lottery. :-)
