this is young christine who agreed to play dress up for my bowler hat series. that gorgeous pair of legs in yesterday's post belongs to this pretty thing. here she is wearing a white formal bowtie, fingerless lace gloves, large hoop earrings, and of course the bowler hat! obviously, i need to learn how to make use of natural light, a bright afternoon sunlight, in fact.
i threw away the crappy tripod i had been keeping at the office and brought an old one which is more sturdy. i wondered why the photos were turning out blurry. turned out the darn screw had lost its threading and the camera was moving slowly during shots. so i may have to ask for a repeat session with the kid. she has that 'sally bowles' spunk in the film "cabaret" and she photographs so well. hope you like this one.
thank you for your kind visits and comments; they are so much appreciated.
Better than what I could do! I think a filler flash or something to direct a little light on her face would be in order- something as simple as a white piece of paper would do the trick. But I'm not a portrait expert, so take that with a grain of salt! In other news today...finally sent off all the paperwork to renew the passport! I see a meet-up at Niagara Falls in 6 to 8 weeks!
