a sorry splashy mess by summerfield

a sorry splashy mess

how long can one do this? i started at eight, did about a hundred shots of water splash and promptly erased all of them because i didn't want any proof that i am capable of failing at what seemed an easy technique. then i thought i'd watch some tutorials (should've done that at the outset, duh!) and that sort of set me on the right path, but by the time i got this, my eyes hurt from the bright light behind the set up. but i will definitely re-visit this soon.

it is evident that it has been etsooi'd to hell and back. sheez! i'm even sloppy with etsooi. i must find a new hobby.

i also must find me a wing-man, kind of hard to be pressing the darn shutter and pouring the water. i'm off to fire an e-mail to my landlord to have the kitchen counter changed as it would probably rot from too much water damage! yaiks!

thank you for your kind visits and comments; i do appreciate them, like a lot!
you did good!

Awesome capture! Great clarity, dof, lighting and color. Fav. I've always wanted to try this, but haven't had the time. The effort was well worth it.

Great capture Vikki, well worth the effort. This is what I use as a wingman: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/749294-REG/Vello_RCW_N2_Wireless_ShutterBoss_Timer_Remote.html
A wired version, much cheaper: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/765672-REG/Vello_RS_N2II_RS_N2_Wired_Remote_Switch.html

I bought mine on sale for around $75 US.
Let's see a photo of your green fingernails!

@bill_fe - i do have wireless remote, i was just lazy to use it. what i mean by wingman is an assistant who i can yell at to "pour" or "run!" or never mind. :-) thank you, bill.
